In the LV, apart from being able to chat with your old friends, you are able to get acquainted with people from all over the world. Through them, you will be able to learn the different cultures and customs and you can enjoy a nice long chat with them. You can use the following ways to communicate with others:

• Real time conversation: input the things you want to say in the dialogue frame of the control panel, then press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard. Your message will be sent out to all those in the same scene. Be careful with the words you use as this is public domain. Avoid using words or dialogues which may hurt others or difficult to understand.
• Personal Messages: These will not be made public and you can send/receive them in private. To send/receive such messages, click on your friend’s character, then press ‘Envelop’. Your message will be sent. If there is a message for you from your friend, the top left envelop on the screen will blink continuously, click once on it and you will receive the message.
• Emotion symbols: After clicking on the icon, you will find various emotion symbols. Using one of these, like a ‘smiling face’ can express a lot more than words.
  

To review the details of your discussions, point and click on the ‘Conversation Record.’ There is a full record of what has been ‘spoken’. You can use the record to back track easily what may have been lost during a ‘conversation’.
